Mabry Mill on the Blue Ridge Parkway includes the Grist Mill, Restaurant, and Gift Shop, a lot of historical items and demonstrations of life in early America.  The Restaurant and Gift Shop are only open May – October but you can visit the Mill year round.  There are Rest Rooms but they are also closed during the off-season.

The Mill was run by E.B. Mabry from 1910 – 1935.  It included the Grist Mill with a Saw Mill and there were also several other items like a Blacksmith Shop.

This is a great place for the family.  There is ample parking and lots to see. During the summer and fall, there are rangers demonstrating old-time skills.

Just south of Mabry Mill is the small community Meadows of Dan.  It is a very nice community with a restaurant, gas, restrooms, general store and more.
