Door Threshold Repair

Do you need a Door Threshold Repair? This video will show removal and replacement of our front door threshold. In our case, we had carper removed and oak hardwood floors installed. The installers did an “OK at best” install but left our front door with a large gap between the bottom of the door and the threshold. They had to trim the bottom of the door to clear the new flooring but did not do anything to the threshold. As a result, we had a large air gap below our door.

We start with showing the problem with the size of the air gap. Next removal of the old threshold. Next was prep of the area and determining the correct adjustment for the new threshold. This was done with thin peace’s of plywood to get the correct height for the new threshold. Then installing the new threshold and showing the lack of a gap under the door.
